How to fix cudart64_42_9.dll error in Batman Arkham Knight

Batman Arkham Knight on the PC is running into "cudart64_42_9.dll is missing" error.  This error appears as a result of missing NVIDIA CUDA 4.2 runtime.

 

How to fix

1. Go to the Nvidia Download page



If you are missing


  • "cudart64_42_9.dll not found."
  • "The file cudart64_42_9.dll is missing."
  • "cudart64_42_9.dll Access Violation."
  • "Cannot register cudart64_42_9.dll."
  • "Cannot find C:\Windows\System32\cudart64_42_9.dll."
  • "cudart64_42_9.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
  • "This application failed to start because cudart64_42_9.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

Note: NVIDIA CUDA Runtine requires Nvidia supported hardware graphics cards.

      I got it to work by doing the following: go to wherever the game is installed on your machine and just copy the file cudar64_55 outside win64 folder and rename it to cudar64_42_9 and then cut and paste it to win64 folder. then launch, should be fine.

      I got it to work by doing the following: go to wherever the game is installed on your machine and just copy the file cudar64_55 outside win64 folder and rename it to cudar64_42_9 and then cut and paste it to win64 folder. then launch, should be fine.
